Netgear users should look at installing the latest firmware on their devices as Netgear deployed patches for a number of security flaws discovered and reported by the US based cyber-security firm: Trustware. Researchers found five issues affecting 17 Netgear models, including the best selling Nighthawk series. The flaws were found and reported privately in March 2017, and Netgear slowly began fixing these issue last year. Trustware has gone public with the findings last week hoping that users who have not yet updated will take the time to do so.
Users should go to the Netgear support page, find their model, and update to the latest firmware immediately.
